How to check the BT-74 result

On 05-10-2026, watch the live numbers from about 2:55 PM and then cross-check against the official result PDF once it is posted. Match your ticket's full number for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, and remember that the lower tiers (4th to 9th) are often decided on the last four digits, so check those carefully too.

How and where to claim your prize

Smaller wins of up to Rs 5,000 can be collected from any authorised Kerala lottery agent or seller, or at your District Lottery Office. For anything above Rs 5,000, you must submit the original winning ticket along with a filled claim form and a government photo ID at a bank or the District Lottery Office / Directorate, generally within 30 days of the draw. Sign the back of your ticket and keep it safe until you claim. For a full walkthrough, see our guide to claiming a Kerala lottery prize.

Tax and agent commission

Prize payouts are subject to income tax deducted at source of around 30%, plus applicable surcharge and cess, taken off before you receive the money. Authorised agents who sell a winning ticket typically earn about 10% commission. Treat these figures as general guidance and confirm current rates with the Directorate.

Verifying ticket authenticity

Always check your ticket using the official Kerala Lottery barcode scanner and match the numbers against the official result gazette before celebrating or claiming. This protects you against counterfeit or altered tickets.

Issuing agency

Bhagyathara is organised and published by the Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries, under the Taxes (Lotteries) Department, Government of Kerala, headquartered at Vikas Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram. This website is independent and not affiliated with the Directorate; the official gazette remains the final authority on all results.

Play responsibly. Lottery outcomes are entirely chance-based — spend only what you can comfortably afford and never treat tickets as a source of income.
