Editorial policy: how our results are made

A lottery result site is only as good as its accuracy on the number you are holding. This page documents, concretely, where every number on Kerala Lottery Lab comes from, how fast it gets here, what checks it passes, how mistakes get fixed — and exactly where AI is and is not involved.

Our sources, in order of authority

  1. The official result publications of the Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries (the department's result portal and its official result PDF for each draw). This is the source our system ingests — every prize tier, every ticket number, every sale location comes from it.
  2. The printed official gazette — the final legal authority. If anything on this site ever disagrees with it, the gazette is right and we correct our page.

We never copy results from other results websites. If the official source is delayed or unreachable, our pages say "awaited" — they do not guess and they do not borrow.

Timing: what "live" means here

Accuracy checks

Ingestion is automated, and automation is checked: results are parsed from the official publication with rule-based validation (expected tier counts and amounts for each scheme, ticket-number formats, series sanity), and a failed validation blocks publication rather than publishing something half-right. The same database drives every surface — result pages, charts, the checker and the API — so a number can never be right on one page and wrong on another.

Corrections

When a reader reports an error — or our own re-checks find one — we verify against the official gazette PDF and correct the page promptly, usually the same day. Report a mistake here with the draw code, date and the exact number; corrections of substance are noted on the affected page. The fastest way to protect yourself as a player is unchanged: verify any winning ticket against the official gazette before acting.

Where AI is used — and where it is not

Independence and funding

Kerala Lottery Lab is independent: not affiliated with the Government of Kerala or any lottery agent, and we sell nothing — no tickets, no "premium numbers", no paid tips. The site may show advertising, which is disclosed in our privacy policy; advertisers have no influence over results or editorial content. Our full terms are at terms & disclaimer.

📖 The one-line policy: official sources in, transparent corrections out, AI only where it is labelled — and the official gazette outranks us every time.
