Samrudhi SM-73 Result for Sunday, 20 September 2026
The Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries has declared the result of the Samrudhi SM-73 draw held on Sunday, 20 September 2026. The top prize of Rs 1,00,00,000 (one crore rupees) was won by ticket number ML 702572, which was sold in Thrissur. The draw took place at Gorky Bhavan, near Bakery Junction, Thiruvananthapuram, the regular venue for Kerala's daily lottery draws.
This is the 73rd edition of the weekly Samrudhi series. After Thrissur claimed the jackpot this week, the second prize of Rs 25 lakh travelled north to Kannur (MD 427527), while the Rs 5 lakh third prize was won on a ticket sold in Kottayam (MJ 763238) — a spread that shows how widely fortune fell across the state this Sunday.

The Winning Ticket and Where It Was Sold
The crore-rupee first-prize ticket ML 702572 was purchased through an authorised retail seller in Thrissur. Along with the jackpot itself, the eleven consolation prizes of Rs 5,000 each go to the holders of tickets sharing the same number 702572 across the other series (MA to MM). Second and third prizes were sold in Kannur and Kottayam respectively.
How to Check the Samrudhi SM-73 Result
Live numbers begin appearing from around 2:55 PM IST on draw day, with the full official result PDF uploaded shortly after the 3:00 PM draw. To confirm a win, match your ticket's series letters and digits exactly against the tier lists above, and remember that the lower tiers (4th prize down) are decided by the last four digits only.
How to Claim Your Samrudhi Prize
Prizes up to Rs 5,000 can be collected from any authorised Kerala lottery agent or seller, or at your District Lottery Office. For higher amounts — including the first, second and third prizes — you must surrender the original winning ticket along with a completed claim form and a government-issued photo ID at a designated bank or the District Lottery Office / Directorate, generally within 30 days of the draw date. Sign the reverse of your ticket and keep it safe until you claim. For a full walkthrough, see our guide to claiming a Kerala lottery prize.
Prize Structure
The Samrudhi weekly draw is topped by a Rs 1 crore first prize, followed by a Rs 25 lakh second prize and a Rs 5 lakh third prize. Consolation prizes of Rs 5,000 cushion the near-misses on the first-prize number, while the 4th to 9th tiers — ranging from Rs 5,000 down to Rs 100 — spread smaller wins across thousands of ticket holders based on four-digit matches.
Tax and Agent Commission
Lottery winnings in India attract income tax deducted at source (TDS) of about 30%, plus applicable surcharge and cess, which is withheld before the payout reaches you. Authorised agents earn roughly 10% commission on ticket sales. These rates are set by the Government of Kerala and can change, so confirm the current figures with the Directorate before claiming.
Verifying Ticket Authenticity
Before celebrating, use the official Kerala Lottery barcode scanner to verify your ticket and cross-check the number against the official gazette. Genuine tickets carry security features that guard against forgeries, and no legitimate result is ever confirmed through unofficial messages asking for money or personal details.
